Good things still exist...

We believe that regionally and fairly produced products can make an important contribution to a more sustainable way of life. Because of this belief, Babywelle has always been made from high quality materials in Bavaria. Babywelle is a product of honest quality work by people who understand their craft.

What materials are used for Babywelle?

Wood, foam or latex, cotton and nothing else. Depending on the model we use veneered birch plywood or Swiss stone pine triple-layer board, spruce middle layer. Organic cotton for the fabric cover, natural latex or optional foam from Oeko-Tex certified production for the lying mat. No screws, no nails, no plastic. The wooden body is only glued and pressed. For incredibly good stability. When choosing materials for Babywelle, we pay attention to safety. This means that only materials that are absolutely safe for the child's well-being are used for it. That is why we prefer to use natural, untreated materials for Babywelle.

Wooden corpus

The wooden corpus of Babywelle are all made in Bavaria. The corpus in white is manufactured in the Oderberger Werkstätten of the Chiemgau-Lebenshilfe-Werkstätten in Traunreut on Lake Chiemsee. This is a facility for people with mental or multiple disabilities as well as for people with mental impairment. The oak and pine woods are manufactured by the Leonhard Huber joinery in Oberneukirchen in the Upper Bavarian district of Mühldorf am Inn. The wood we use is FSC-certified and thus comes from sustainable forestry.

Mattress

For Babywelle, there is a choice of lying mats made of foam or natural latex. Both variants provide high lying comfort. However, unlike the foam, the natural latex is a one hundred percent natural product, which is a bit more breathable and pads the adhesive pressure points a bit more evenly. The side parts of the lying mat are always made of foam. Both lying mats, foam and natural latex, meet OEKO-TEX Standard 100.
